About Our Project

Why We Compare Routines

SortSafariTallst was founded out of quiet exhaustion with modern productivity culture. We do not sell proprietary planners, promote affiliate kickbacks for enterprise software, or promise that you can conquer the world before 5:00 AM.

A collaborative team workspace with papers and quiet dialogue across an understated oak desk
Shared inquiry: Comparing how diverse professionals manage the same finite twenty-four hours.

Rejecting Optimization Dogma

The vast majority of productivity literature treats the human being as a machine that happens to have biological inconveniences. If you are exhausted, the literature advises you to download an app that monitors your REM cycles. If your workload is mathematically impossible, it instructs you to streamline your breakfast.

We take the opposite perspective: human beings are finite, easily fatigued, and inherently relational creatures. Time management is not the art of squeezing six extra chores into an evening; it is the courage to decide what will remain unfinished without punishing yourself.

“We compare routines not to crown a universal victor, but to see that every disciplined professional has had to invent an idiosyncratic truce with their limitations.”

Our Three Editorial Commitments

1

No Silicon Valley Magic Bullets

We test claims against real work conditions. A technique that only works if you have no dependents and an assistant is not a general productivity method; it is a luxury.

2

Tool Agnosticism

We have members who run entire publishing houses using paper index cards, and others who build complex text-based scripts. We care about cognitive clarity, not software brand names.

3

Respect for Cognitive Rest

Rest is not a fuel stop to prepare you for more output. Unscheduled, quiet leisure is the point of being alive.
